Start a Student Chapter

You can start a student IGDA chapter from scratch—or, if your school has an existing game development club, you can apply to convert it to an IGDA chapter as long as it meets the following requirements.

Step 1: Review the IGDA Student Chapter Handbook.

Step 2: Organize your board. You must have a minimum of three chapter officers with current IGDA memberships, including a chair, a vice chair, and a treasurer.

Step 3: Designate a faculty advisor. The faculty advisor does not need to be an IGDA member, although it is encouraged!

Step 4: Fill out the form here.

That’s it! If you have any questions, please contact students [at] igda [dot] org.
